The Life Safety Park has a rooted mission in benefiting the citizens of the City of Coppell, by bridging life safety topics and public education efforts. The facility provides life safety education to children and adult visitors throughout the area, and offers meeting spaces for community organizations. Lessons and programs offered within the Life Safety Park provide a foundation for a lifetime of living safely.

​School Study Trips now available

Teachers - school study trips are now available for registration! We coordinate with school districts, homeschools, private schools, and other organizations to schedule “Study Trips.” These unique expeditions outside of the traditional classroom give students the opportunity to learn life safety lessons in a specialized, hands-on environment. Specific curriculum is set for each grade level. For more information, click the 'Classes & Training' bubble.
 
 

Volunteer Opportunities​ during fall programming

Life Safety Park will be seeking volunteers to help with children's programming activities. Volunteers will be required to interact with the general public and with our student visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner. Volunteer services will be required in approximately 2-3 hour blocks, depending on that day's schedule.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
  • ​Front desk operations - Answering phone calls, Greeting and registering guests
  • Moving chairs/tables
  • Filling goody bags
  • Completing/printing certificates, and;
  • Helping with physical activities on Safety Town
  • Basic training will be provided upon first volunteer shift.
​​​Volunteer opportunities are appropriate for teens (13+) and adults. Depending on qualifications, volunteers may also be asked to assist with teaching safety classes. All interested volunteers are required to register with the City of Coppell's volunteer management page. Please visit MyVolunteerPage​ to create a profile, fill out a volunteer application, and to view other volunteer opportunities within the City of Coppell. FY2017-18 3rd Quarter report available​

During the Third Quarter of the 2017-2018 fiscal year, Life Safety Park welcomed a total of 2,397 visitors, including 1,130 children and 1,267 adults. Students continued to learn life safety lessons through study trips from local schools, Summer Break programs, and many organizations utilized the facility during this quarter.​​ Read more in the 3rd Quarter Report.
