RECYCLING and YARD TRIMMINGS collection day is every Wednesday.

Republic  Services has chosen to operate trash and recycling service on all holidays except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day. Unless otherwise noted, trash and recycling service will not be affected on any other holiday.

2019/2020 HOLIDAY TRASH & RECYCLING SCHEDULE

THANKSGIVING SCHEDULE – Thursday, November 28, 201​​9:
Normal Thursday trash collection will shift to Friday, November 29​
CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE – Wednesday, December 25, 2019:
Service normally provided on Monday will be on regular schedule, Wednesday will shift to Thursday and Thursday will shift to Friday
NEW YEARS SCHEDULE – Wednesday, January 1, 2020:
Service normally provided on Monday will be on regular schedule, Wednesday will shift to Thursday and Thursday will shift to Friday

​AUTHORIZED WASTE HAULER: REPUBLIC SERVICES

  • If your trash, recycling or yard waste was set out for collection by 7 am and was not collected by the end of the day, contact Republic Services at 972-304-3555 or 817-332-7301 to report the missed pick-up.  
  • A collection will be scheduled for no later than the next business day. 

TRASH SERVICE

  • TRASH and BULK collection days are every Monday and Thursday.
  • Trash should be placed in trash bags or trash cans with lids and placed at the end of your driveway prior to 7 am.
  • Residential customers are allowed a maximum 10 bags of solid waste per service day. Each bag should not  weigh more than 40-pounds.
  • Bulk waste is materials not easily contained in a trash bag such as, but not limited to, swing sets, furniture, oversized acceptable solid waste and brush too large to be cut and packaged per yard trimming guidelines.
  • Bulk Waste is not to exceed 2 cubic yards per collection.
  • Commercial trash will be serviced by dumpsters when the establishment generates more than 10 bags per week.​
​​Fence Disposal
  • Fence panels must be cut in sections less than 4 ft long.  
  • Individual panels must be cut in length less than 4 Ft long, bundled and tied with cotton or jute string.
  • Bundles must weigh less than 40 pounds.
  • Concrete is not accepted by the truck, but may be taken to the landfill free of charge.
  • Fencing will be colleced on Monday and Thursday.​​

RECYCLING SERVICE

  • Recycling collection day is every Wednesday.
  • Place your Republic Services issued cart at the end of your driveway prior to 7:00 AM
  • Commercial recycling may be serviced by any reputable recycling company.

Acceptable recyclables include:

  • Plastics #1-7 and plastic bags.
  • Paper - All paper, including magazines, cardboard, phonebooks, waxed milk and juice cartons. No wet paper or paper that has touched food.
  • Aluminum and Other Metal - Cans, foil, aerosol cans, scrap metal weighing 50 pounds or less
  • Glass - Any glass bottles or containers, with or without lids.  Excludes window glass, porcelain, china or ceramics.

YARD TRIMMINGS RECYCLING

  • Yard trimmings are collected on Wednesdays.
  • Place your yard trimmings in lawn and leaf bags (paper bags) or an open trash can. Do not put trash or recyclables in with your yard trimmings.
  • Place at the end of your driveway by 7 am on Wednesdays.
  • Bundle brush and tree trimmings in bundles less than 4 ft long and tie the bundles with cotton or jute string. 
  • Bundles or containers must weigh less than 40 pounds.
  • Unflocked Christmas trees will be picked up after decorations have been removed.

PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED for yard trimmings. Other materials not accepted include dirt, poisonous plants, rocks or concrete.


LANDFILL USE ​

Coppell residents have access to Camelot Landfill, 580 Huffines Blvd., in Lewisville. Call Camelot at 972-492-3888 for hours of operation. Residents are allowed to dump one-ton of waste per month at the Camelot Landfill, free of charge. ​​Each Coppell household, who is a water customer, can gain access to Camelot Landfill by presenting upon arrival the most current paper copy of your water bill and photo identification with a matching address. eBilling customers will be required upon arrival to show a paper copy of the most current water bill and photo identification with a matching address. ​Customers who have signed up for eBilling, can access a copy of their bill by visiting coppelltx.gov​, clicking on the H2Online icon and printing the most current copy.  Click on the map above for directions to Camelot Landfill.

ROLL-OFF PERMITS

​Roll-off containers placed on residential property require a permit from the Environmental Health Department.  Although there is no charge for the permit, the permit allows a roll-off to be placed on residential property for 30 days.  Roll -off Permits may be obtained through the City of Coppell Environmental Health Division located at 265 E Parkway Blvd., Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.  Or you may complete the permit application​ and email it or fax to 972-462-5123, Attn: Environmental Health Dept.  Please call Republic Services at 972-304-3555 or 817-332-7301 to set up service for a Roll-off container.​
