Parks, Pavilions and Trails - Coppell prides itself in the beautiful parks and miles of trails.
Coppell offers residents an excellent quality of life through everything from the superb park system, to well maintained streets and thoroughfares, to the Coppell Community Gardens, and the public library. Here you can find quick links to a variety of residential services.

Franchise Utility Providers who offer service to Coppell residents and businesses have infrastructure located throughout town in various rights of way and easements. The only obligation franchise utility providers have to the City regarding working on their infrastructure is to pull a permit granting 45 days notice.
- Electricity - Oncor distributes electricity to several providers in Coppell. Information regarding electric competition and available providers are on the Public Utility Commission’s Power to Choose website: www.powertochoose.org
- Natural Gas - Atmos Energy provides natural gas service in Coppell: 888-286-6700

Alarm Permits - A permit is required for each alarm site and each type of alarm system in residential dwellings and in businesses. Permits must be obtained within 30 days of installation and renewed annually.

Solicitor Permits - Who is knocking at your door? The City of Coppell requires some solicitors and handbill distributors to obtain permits before entering neighborhoods.

Emergency and Non-Emergency Communications - How We Communicate
Communication before, during and after a crisis is critical. Stay prepared and informed by signing up for at least two of the communication methods below to ensure you receive important messages that could affect your family, home or daily routine. While you may receive the same message twice, you will be assured to receive at least one.
- Emergency Notifications - Register online to receive emergency notifications from the city, inlcuding phone calls, SMS text messages and emails. A primary phone number MUST be added to register. Please add a phone number capable of receiving text messages and an email address for less invasive contact. This system is not fast enough to send messages about severe weather WARNINGS. Please tune to local radio/TV stations for the latest weather warnings.
