Library Volunteers

​Cozby Library's Volunteer Program creates opportunities for individuals to perform a valuable service for the community. The Program encourages area residents to become familiar with their library and the services being offered and supplements the efforts of library staff. Friends of the Cozby Library and Community Commons

The Friends of the Coppell Public Library actively promote library programs and increase library resources through a variety of activities. Friends also volunteer to help out at local community events and library programs. The Friends have a vision to build a community of library advocates in order to enhance the Cozby​ Library experience. It is their mission to enhance the library experience by creating public awareness, fostering community spirit, and bringing new programs to the library. Want to join the Friends? Teen Volunteers​​

Calling all teens interested in serving their community! The citywide Teen Volunteer Program starts accepting online applications on April 1. The Teen Volunteer Program is a citywide volunteer group that serves at multiple locations including the Biodiversity Education Center, Coppell Community Gardens, Coppell Farmer’s Market, Cozby Library and Community Commons, and Life Safety Park. Apply online here. Teen Volunteers must be 13 – 17, be a Coppell resident or CISD student, complete a parent/legal guardian consent waiver, and attend a Customer Service Training. 

Customer Service Trainings are scheduled for:
Tuesday, May 12 at 5:30 pm at the Library
Friday, May 22 at 1 pm at Life Safety Park
Thursday, May 28 at 1 pm at the Biodiversity Education Center

No Training Required opportunities are available through our volunteer portal. Teens who do not want to or cannot attend a Training and middle schoolers who are under the age of 13 can submit an online application to access these opportunities.​
