Marvin Franklin is a senior level financial advisor at one of the nation’s leading wealth management and banking firms. He is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration (Finance) and has more than 25 years of institutional investment management experience. He has served as council liaison to the city's Economic Development Committee, the North Texas Commission, Metrocrest Services and the North Central Texas Council of Government's Emergency Preparedness Planning Council. He has served on Coppell's Economic Development Committee, the Coppell Family YMCA Board of Management, the Senior Source, the Northlake College Executive Community Council, University of Nevada Las Vegas/William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration and the Christian Community Action Board of Management, among other volunteer and industry related trade organizations. He has served as the City's Mayor Pro Tem in 2008 to 2009 and, again in 2014 to 2015. Marvin and his wife Phyllis have livedin Coppell since 1999, have one grown child and attend Covenant Church.
