The Building Inspections Department requires building permits for all commercial or residential construction or demolitions in the City of Coppell. All permit requests and fee information may be obtained online or from the Building Inspections Department located at 265 E. Parkway Blvd., or by calling 972-304-3500, Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
All building permits or a copy thereof shall be posted on the site where visible from the street.

All contractor registrations, permit applications and payments will be handled through the Customer Service Solutions (CSS) Portal.
Effective Monday May 4th, Inspections inside occupied, residential homes will be conducted virtually for certain inspections. For a list of inspections being offered virtually, please visit REMOTE VIDEO INSPECTION PROGRAM.
Effective March 30, 2020, in accordance with the City of Coppell's issued Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health Emergency, all elective additions, remodels, and non-essential maintenance permits are prohibited until further notice.
