Coronavirus: COVID-19 updates

We hope you are staying well amidst these challenging times, and continuing to be the strong community of neighbors helping neighbors Coppell has become known for.
With sheltering restrictions lifting and our City starting to "reopen", we'd like to welcome visitors back to Life Safety Park for safety classes starting June 1st. The health and safety of all visitors and employees will continue to be top of mind, and as such our programming has been modified to best achieve this effort: class sizes are smaller, masks will be required for all visitors over the age of two, and social distancing guidelines will still be in place. Nevertheless, we hope visitors will still enjoy the fun, constructive and unique learning experience LSP strives to provide. For the most up-to-date information regarding City facility status and COVID-19 developments, as well as preventative measures you can take, please continue monitoring the City of Coppell website. Please click here to be taken to the COVID-19 updates page.

FY2019-20 2nd Quarter report available

During the Second Quarter of the 2019-2020 fiscal year, Life Safety Park (LSP) welcomed over 1,794 visitors, who continued to learn a safety lesson, either through study trips from local schools, spring break programs, tours, meeting space utilization, and other events. From March 20 through the end of the fiscal quarter, Life Safety Park was closed to outside visitors and staff meetings due to the Declaration of Local Disaster by Mayor Karen Hunt. The Emergency Operation Center, located at Life Safety Park, was activated during this time and was utilized for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery to the COVID-19 pandemic. This response continued into the next quarter. For a full list of impacts or to read the declaration, visit coppelltx.gov/coronavirus. Read more in the 2nd Quarter Report.
