SCHEDULE INSPECTION ON-LINE
Effective May 11, 2020, the Community Development offices will be open to the public by appointment only. Meetings will be held virtually where possible. Be advised that all visitors will be required to wear masks. A mask will be provided if you do not have one. For your safety, please follow the posted directions upon entering the building to comply with social distancing requirements.
The Building Inspections Department inspects all construction work performed on private property within the City of Coppell. Inspections are required after obtaining building, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical permits. You may call the Building Inspections Department at 972-304-3500 between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, to schedule an inspection.

JUNE 3, 2020 - To better accommodate the peaceful protest taking place today at 4 pm at Town Center, the following City of Coppell facilities will CLOSE AT 3PM TODAY, JUNE 3: Town Center, “265 Parkway” building that houses Engineering, Public Works, and Community Development, the Cozby Library, and the Justice Center. Offices will not be accessible to the public, but all of our services are available online. City facilities will resume current service hours tomorrow, June 4.

All building permit applications, credit card payments, and contractor registrations must be handled through the Customer SELF SERVICE (CSS) Portal. All Planning & Zoning applications will be through the CUSTOMER SELF SERVICE (CSS) PORTAL.
Certain types of residential inspections may be conducted either virtually or in person. For the safety and convenience of customers and staff, we encourage, but not require, virtual inspections for residential water heaters, HVAC replacement, and other plumbing and electrical repairs.
