The Building Inspections Department inspects all construction work performed on private property within the City of Coppell. Inspections are required after obtaining building, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical permits. You may call the Building Inspections Department at 972-304-3500 between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday, to schedule an inspection.

Effective, TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 2020, until further notice, the City of Coppell's 265 Parkway Blvd building will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. This includes the Building Inspections Division.
Anyone wishing to apply for a Certificate of Occupancy or Contractor Registration will need to email inspect@coppelltx.gov or call 972-304-3500. Contractor Registration forms can be found on our website under Building Inspections or by clicking here. Please email your Contractor Registration form to inspect@coppelltx.gov.
At this time all inspections will still take place. Some in-home inspections involving water heaters, HVAC units, slab leaks, or gas line, electrical or minor plumbing repairs may continue be conducted virtually. For the safety and convenience of customers and staff, we highly encourage, but not require, virtual inspections. Visit REMOTE VIDEO INSPECTION PROGRAM for details on www.coppelltx.gov. All inspections may be scheduled through the Customer Self Service portal at https://energovcss.coppelltx.gov/EnerGovProd/SelfService#/home. For Remote Video Inspections, please email inspect@coppelltx.gov, after scheduling your inspection on CSS, to set up the appointment time.
