Saturday, December 5 – Thursday, December 31, from 6 - 10pm nightly
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Visit Andrew Brown Park East as it is transformed into a winter wonderland. Marvel at the lighted 50 ft. tree and enjoy a nighttime stroll through the park throughout the month of December. The park will be aglow with over 300,000 holiday lights from Saturday, December 5 – Thursday, December 31. Bring your cup of hot chocolate and camera and enjoy this festive, nighttime holiday display! Andrew Brown Park East, 260 E. Parkway Blvd.

Virtual Tree Lighting

Saturday, December 5 at 6pm
Holiday lights have returned to Andrew Brown East! Due to COVID-19 and gathering guidelines, we won’t be able to celebrate our annual
tree lighting with you in person. Please join us in ringing in the holiday season from the comfort of your own home!

This year’s tree lighting event is going VIRTUAL. Countdown with Mayor Karen Hunt as we light the 50ft. tree and lighted display in the park, then stick around for a musical performance by local musical family, The Spanglers, and a classic story from Santa Claus himself!

Holiday Ambassadors

Annual City of Coppell Holiday Scavenger Hunt

Monday, November 30 - Monday, January 4
Holiday fun is hidden all over the city! Back by popular demand, the annual Holiday Scavenger Hunt runs from November 30 to January 4, 2021. Solve the clues and find each of the five holiday ambassadors hidden around town, pose for a photo with each, and then upload your pictures and schedule an appointment to claim your prize (while supplies last)! Share the fun with your friends and family by uploading your photos to social media with the hashtag #CoppellHolidays. Be sure to tag the City of Coppell on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. There are multiple holiday-themed ambassadors hidden around Coppell, but only a special few will earn Coppell's holiday enthusiasts a prize, so consider the clues carefully!

The week of November 30, one clue will be posted daily to the City's FacebookInstagram and Twitter pages. After a clue is posted, take a look around the city, find the holiday ambassador and pose for a photo with it! The first 100 participants to snag a picture with each of the five holiday ambassadors and submit images online will win an EXTRA special prize!

Participants have from November 30 through January 4, 2021 to pose with the special holiday ambassadors.

Make a Child Smile

For more than 20 years, the Coppell community has come together to Make a Child Smile by donating gifts to deserving children in Coppell ISD. Though many things may have changed this year, the community's dedication to assisting residents in need has not. To help ensure that the spirit of giving continues to flourish, while also protecting the health and safety of residents, the City of Coppell has announced a makeover to this year's Make a Child Smile program. Click here to learn more about how to give back to a family in need this holiday season.

Letters to Santa

With many malls and shopping centers shuttering their doors, Santa knows he might not be able to see as many kiddos in person this year, so the Cozby Library and Community Commons has volunteered to be a Letter Drop-off location for Mr. Claus! Santa has set up a holiday mailbox where Coppell children can mail their gift wishes to the North Pole, at the Cozby Library. Santa will also be making an appearance virtually at the Library for a Christmas Q&A where he will respond to children’s holiday questions.

Kids can drop off their letters in the large holiday mailbox outside the Cozby Library anytime through December 18. Questions for Santa’s Q&A session at the library can be dropped off at the Library’s front desk through December 11!

Santa Q&A: Ask Santa Anything!

Is there something you've always wanted to ask Santa? Now's your chance! Santa and Mrs. Claus have agreed to drop by the Cozby Library to read a story and answer your questions. On  December  16, a link to their video will be posted to the Library’s Facebook and Twitter pages. Pick up a Santa Q&A at the Library or print it out and bring it with you on your next visit. Submit your form by dropping it in Santa’s Fox box inside the Library by Friday, December 11!

In case you missed it! Santa and Mrs. Claus took a moment to share their favorite stories and answer some of your biggest questions!
