Friends of the Cozby Library and Community Commons

The Friends of the Coppell Public Library actively promote library programs and increase library resources through a variety of activities. Friends also volunteer to help out at local community events and library programs. The Friends have a vision to build a community of library advocates in order to enhance the Cozby Library experience. It is their mission to enhance the library experience by creating public awareness, fostering community spirit, and bringing new programs to the library. Want to join the Friends? Volunteens

If you have ever been in the library during the summer, you know how busy it is! Since we are so busy, we rely on the help of our "volunteens". The volunteer opportunities start Saturday, June 3 and run through Tuesday, July 25. Many teens are interested in becoming a summer volunteen, but the number of positions is limited. This program is open to Coppell Residents ages 12-17. Applications will be accepted at the Information Desk, between Saturday, April 8 through Sunday, April 23. If we have more teen applications than we can fill, there will be a lottery to select the teens. Click here to view more information about Volunteens. Click here to view the application.

The League of Extraordinary Teens

This is an unique way to earn service hours and give back to your community. Coppell Residents in high school are invited to apply for The League of Extraordinary Teens. This group will help plan select library programs. The volunteer opportunities will be made available every fall. Check with the library for more details.

Local Organizations

The Front Desk keeps a list of local organizations that offer service hours to teens. The list is updated each spring. Stop by the library to get a list.
