Ones Upon a Time​
Mondays at 10:30 am
A one-derful storytime for children 12-24 months of age and their adult caregiver. Short stories, music, rhymes, and movement activities are​ incorporated in this action-packed program that engages new walkers in language based activities. ​

​Baby and Me

Mondays at 11 am​​

​Babies from birth to crawling and their favorite adult will enjoy songs, action rhymes, and share books together in this one-on-one lapsit program. This storytime is designed to be a springboard for literacy, by exploring the senses with music, action rhymes, and age appropriate reading. Come prepared to have fun with baby. 

​Family Storytime​

​Tuesdays at 7 pm

​All ages are welcome at Family Storytime, which incorporates stories, songs, rhymes, and more into a fun and interactive experience for the whole family. 

​​Toddler Time

​​Wednesdays at 10:30 and 11:15 am

​A storytime for 2 and 3 year olds (with their favorite adult) who are ready to sit and enjoy interactive stories, songs, and games that encourage their emerging language skills. This program will introduce young children to the joys of language and literature.

​​All By Myself

​​Thursdays at 10:30 am

Storytime for 3 to 5 year olds who are ready to attend independently. This storytime is designed to foster a smooth transition into school and is the only storytime that children attend without their adult caregiver. This fun and interactive program combines activities such as read-aloud stories, songs, rhymes, and fingerplays. It introduces children to listening skills, the library, and the joy of reading.

​​Second Saturday Storytime

​​Second Saturday of every month at 11 am

​​A special storytime presented to children of working parents and everyone who cannot attend regular weekday storytimes.

​​Explore the world of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math with hands-on activities! Kids in grades K-5 are invited to challenge your brain to think critically and creatively.

Volunteens

​If you have ever been in the library during the summer, you know how busy it is! Since we are so busy, we rely on the help of our "volunteens". The volunteer opportunities start Saturday, June 3 and run through Tuesday, July 25. Many teens are interested in becoming a summer volunteen, but the number of positions is limited. This program is open to Coppell Residents ages 12-17. Applications will be accepted at the Information Desk, between Saturday, April 8 through Sunday, April 23. ​Calling all musicians, writers, poets, dancers, comedians, and more! Our Open Mic Night returns on the 2nd Wednesday night of each month. Sign up starts at 6 pm at the Information Desk. You may perform a maximum of 5 minutes. This​ program is open to all ages and any content must be appropriate for all ages. Microphone will be provided. Bring your friends to perform or cheer you on!

​​Friends Big Book Sale

​Saturday, April 22 from 10 am - 4 pm

​​The BIG Book Sale will have lots of used books, movies, magazines, and audiobooks. Early Bird Special: Members of the Friends can shop as early as 9 am! Learn more about the book sale and how to become a Friend of the Library at the Information Desk.
The Friends are also seeking your gently used books, movies, magazines, etc. for their upcoming sale. Bring your donations to the Library any time during open hours and let us know they're for the Friends. Receipts are available for tax deductions. ​​

​We ​seldom realize that the constant chatter of our mind can be more exhausting than physical labor itself. Sahaja Yoga Meditation quenches that thirst and with its simple yet unique method, helps, one experience that state and reap the benefits thereof even in this fast paced life. The sessions are guided meditation. All ages are welcome to attend.

​​Attention artists in grades K-12! Submit your​ drawing to win prizes and be featured in the library! Winners will be announced at CozbyCon on May 13. ​​Come to the library's 7th annual comic book/anime convention, CozbyCon! Put on your best cosplay outfit to make crafts, shop, play games, view CozbyCon art contest entries, and enter for a chance to win door prizes.​
