​​​Cliff Long holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and Masters of Liberal Arts degree from Southern Methodist University. He is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner. Cliff and his wife, Chris, own and operate Sovereign Mortgage Services, Inc., a provider of auditing and compliance support to the residential mortgage industry through its headquarters in Coppell.

Cliff has lived in Coppell since 1991 and has been active in the community through his volunteer work and participation in service oriented organizations. He served on the City of Coppell Transportation Committee and the 2013 Bond Steering Committee for the Coppell Independent School District. Cliff is a member of the Coppell Rotary Club, a member and Immediate Past Board Chairman of the Coppell Chamber of Commerce, and currently serves as the President of the Old Town Coppell Association. He is also a Past President of the Dallas Mortgage Bankers Association.

Cliff and Chris have been married for 30 years and have three grown children.
