Friday, March 9, 7 - 9 pm - The Wonderfuls​

The Square at Old Town, 768 W. Main St. 

Enjoy a night of music in Old Town! Bring your blanket or chairs, pack a picnic or purchase food at the event. Complimentary popcorn will be available courtesy of Coppell Parks and Recreation!

Hop on over to Coppell's annual EGGstravaganza event, full of activities including bounce houses, face painting, music, photos with the Bunny and more!  Egg hunts begin promptly at 10:30AM for kids up to age 6, and at 11:00AM for kids age 7 - 10 years. Candy and toy-filled eggs are in abundance at this event, so dust off those baskets and join us for a morning filled with fun! 

ecocoppell EarthFest

Saturday, April 14, 9 am - 12 pm 

The Square at Old Town, 768 W. Main St. 

Celebrate EarthFest at the Farmers Market with live entertainment, seasonal treats and fun activities for the whole family. EarthFest is a celebration of Coppell's commitment to the environment - an entertaining and educational experience! Visit the many environmental education booths to learn how you can lead a more sustainable lifestyle, collect giveaways and purchase locally sourced goods from the market! Don't forget to shop the plant ​sale, grab a bite to eat and enjoy live music. ​

Party on the lawn: Old Town Anniversary Celebration

Friday, May 4, 7 - 9 pm 

The Square at Old Town, 768 W. Main Street

Celebrate Old Town's 3rd anniversary in style! Pack a picnic or check out an Old Town restaurant and enjoy a concert on the lawn! Bring the kids and let them splash in the Main Street Interactive Fountain or play on the playground.

CELEBRATE COPPELL - parade down parkway

PARADE ROUTE – SAMUEL TO PARKWAY BLVD., WEST ON PARKWAY TO TOWN CENTER

Celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic parade! Put on your red, white and blue and head over to the parade route early ​​for the best spot!​​​ ​Residents looking for a fun way to celebrate the holiday should participate in the p​arade!  Sports teams and organizations, HOAs, or groups of friends and family can enter a patriotic float, decorate a vehicle or bicycles, or simply walk in the parade. 

Movie in the Park
Friday, July 27, 8 pm - The LEGO Ninjago Movie

Andrew Brown Park East, 260 E. Parkway Blvd.

Gather your blankets and chairs, pack a picnic and come out to the park for free showing of The LEGO Ninjago Movie! Free popcorn provided by Coppell Parks and Recreation.

Saturday, October 6, 5 - 9 pm

Andrew Brown Park East, 260 E. Parkway Blvd.

This popular event is moving to Andrew Brown Park! Come out to the park to enjoy food truck fare from local favorites! Bring a blanket or chairs for a picnic on the lawn. More info on the trucks that will be in attendance at this event as the event date nears.


KALEIDOSCOPE: A CELEBRATION OF CULTURES

Special Event Application (Please fill out this form and submit to parks@coppelltx.gov​​)
Block Party Application and Consent Form
  • Please allow 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process your application.
  • Please submit your application 60 days prior to the actual event date. This amount of time is required before your event date can be confirmed.
  • Depending on the details of your event, you may be asked to attend a meeting to elaborate on your application.
  • You may be required to submit specific insurance for your event.
  • Please note that there is an application fee of $250.  Other permit fees may apply.
  • All events hosted in a City of Coppell park must observe the "lightning detection system" if one is present in the park you have reserved.

DEFINITION OF A SPECIAL EVENT

Article 6-5, Section 6-5-1: Definition of "special event" - a temporary event or gathering using either private or public property, which involves one or more of the following activities, except when the activity is for construction or house moving purposes only;
  • Closing a public street;
  • Blocking or restriction of public property, limiting the use of parks by the general public, and streets;
  • Offer of merchandise, food, or beverages on public property or on private property where otherwise prohibited by ordinance;
  • Erection of a tent on public property, or on private property where otherwise prohibited by ordinance;
  • Installation of a stage, band shell, trailer, van, portable building, grandstand or bleachers on public property, or on private property where otherwise prohibited by ordinance;
  • Placement of portable toilets on public property, or on private property where otherwise prohibited by ordinance;
  • Placement of temporary "no parking" signs in a public right-of-way
