The City of Coppell is working closely with community partners, including Coppell ISD, to keep the community informed regarding our 2020 Special Events. There have been some impacts on our summer events, but we are still hosting revised events with the safety of our citizens in mind. This is a rapidly evolving situation, and updates will be made as new information becomes available.

SUMMER 2020 SPECIAL EVENTS

COPPELL CARES VIRTUAL 5K

Monday, June 8 - Sunday, June 28

The Coppell Cares Virtual 5k is for people who want to make a difference and be active at the same time! We are so excited to provide a way for the community to connect their passion with purpose and join others in supporting local charities and non-profits through a healthy, outdoor activity. If you need help determining a route, the 5K route the City uses for 5Ks at Andrew Brown Park East is available as an example here.

CELEBRATE COPPELL: RED, WHITE & VIEWS OUTDOOR DECORATING CONTEST

Registration: Monday, June 1 - Saturday, June 20
Displays & Voting: Sunday, June 21 - Sunday, July 5
Celebrate Coppell has always been a celebration of people, events, and traditions; encouraging the citizens of Coppell to celebrate our nation’s independence. This year we will still be celebrating in that spirit but in a slightly different way. We are asking residents and businesses in the community to celebrate with us by decorating their front porches or business windows. The theme, of course, is Independence Day! The purpose of decorating is to unleash your creativity and bring a smile to your friends and neighbors by showing us your patriotic best.
Friday, July 3, 5 - 11 pm
Celebrate Coppell: Party in the Park (music and fireworks) and Parade Down Parkway will not take place this year. We know that families across Coppell still desire to celebrate our nation’s independence! With this is mind, we have reimagined our traditional celebration and have created a way for residents to safely celebrate the day as a community. Visit our Red, White & Views page for more information.
